Sprouts – Birdwatching

BIRDWATCHING is the Sprouts activity for August and September! Check out binoculars and a set of bird ID cards at the Gardens' gift shop.

If you hear a loud squeaky "Waka-waka-waka" coming from the tree-tops then you must be in the presence of an Acorn Woodpecker. These striking feathered friends can be found at the Gardens along with more than 180 species of birds. They drill holes into trees where they store food allowing them to thrive in one location without having to migrate in the colder months. Have you seen a tree speckled in holes? Learn more about Birds at the Gardens...
