Nursery on the Plaza

Unique selection of plants reflective of our garden and mild maritime climate.

In addition to plants that are featured in the Gardens signature collections - Rhododendrons, Heaths and Heathers, Conifers, and Mediterranean plants - our specialty retail nursery offers a wide selection of plants that are drought tolerant, deer resistant, and hummingbird-, bee-, and butterfly-friendly. We carry unusual varieties from Australia, Asia, and Africa, and our selection of California native plants is excellent. We offer for purchase many of the same varieties featured throughout the Gardens. Our nursery is staffed by knowledgeable plant geeks who will be happy to help you with any questions. We also are able to special order many plants if we do not have them in stock (We are unable to providing shipping services; all special orders must be picked up). Don't miss our two HUGE annual plant sales — the Fall Plant Sale in September and the Spring Plant Sale in April!

Nursery on the Plaza is open daily from 9:00am to 5:00pm in the summer (March through October), and 9:00am to 4:00pm in the winter (November through February). All Gardens Members receive a 10% discount on all purchases and all proceeds go directly to support our non-profit botanical gardens.
