Mendocino Coast Botanical Gardens, 47 acres of botanical bliss fronting the Pacific Ocean

A picture perfect settings for your special day...

Exchange vows under a rustic gazebo, have an elegant affair in the Dahlia Garden, dance under the stars on the Event Lawn, or say “I do” on a bluff overlooking the Pacific Ocean. Tammie Gilchrist Photography |

Birds and bugs live here too...

A pollinator's paradise! The Gardens offer a unique environment for many different creatures, including more than 180 species of birds that live or visit here annually.

47 acres that lie between California's scenic Highway 1 and the Pacific Ocean...

Our moderate climate allows us to grow a wide range of tender species plants which cannot survive the more extreme heat or cold that occurs in other locations.

Beautiful ocean views...

One of the few public gardens with ocean frontage, the Gardens reach all the way out to the coast. Visit the Cliff House and learn about native coastal flora.

As a nonprofit botanical garden, our mission is to engage and enrich lives by displaying and conserving plants in harmony with our Northern California coastal ecosystems and to preserve public access to the coast.
