What's happening at the Gardens
Mendocino Coast Botanical Gardens brings the community together through vibrant festivals, cherished holiday traditions, plant sales, and special gatherings all year long.
Every ticket purchased, and every plant carried home, supports the Gardens, strengthens our collections, advances our educational programs, and helps sustain the natural beauty entrusted to our care.
When you join us for an event, you are doing more than attending. You are helping this remarkable place continue to grow, flourish, and inspire for generations to come.
Festival of Lights
Each Friday, Saturday, and Sunday
November 27 — December 20
As one of the Gardens' most important annual fundraisers, this sparkling celebration helps support the care, conservation, and beauty of this beloved coastal landscape. Your visit truly makes a difference, even before the first twinkle catches your eye.
Mindfulness Meditation
Sundays, June through August
For millennia, people have been coming together outdoors to sit on the earth in nature while cultivating presence and ease. Each class will start with a few minutes of gentle qigong-like movements to release tension, regulate the nervous system, and promote embodiment.

Stinky Flowers and the Pollinators That Love Them
Saturday, June 13
In this talk with Naturalist and Educator, Damon Tighe, we are going to look at a group of winged arthropods that deserves a fresh PR campaign: flies. We will dive into these important pollinators and look at the native plants they pollinate.
