Saturdays with Ashley
This easy-paced, moderately challenging yoga class focuses on the fundamental poses that make up a well-rounded yoga practice. Yoga increases awareness and mindfulness of the breath and body, while quieting and regulating the nervous system. As an added benefit, practicing yoga outdoors leads to a deeper sense of connection and myriad health benefits, such as lowering stress and anxiety levels. Nature's wisdom and contemplative Buddhist themes will be woven into the class. Ashley's style is non-pretentious, humorous, and friendly. This class is appropriate for anyone, of any age, shape, or size. No experience or level of flexibility required.

Sundays with Delphine
All levels are welcome in this class, which combines Delphine's in-depth knowledge of safe alignment with dynamic movement. Mindful Yoga combines creative sequencing with Delphine's love of classical yoga. You’ll find restorative moments and snapshots of sculpting intensity. This 60-minute class aims to support you in slowing down, tuning into your intuition, cultivating physical health and psychological well-being using postures (asanas) and breathing techniques (pranayama) with the goal of developing a grounded, focused, and peaceful mind.

ABOUT THE INSTRUCTORS

Delphine Davidson
Delphine has been teaching yoga since 2002 throughout the country. She focuses on the deliberate deconstruction of each pose to make a mindful and lively practice available to students of all levels. You will be invited to go deeper into your individual practice along with consistent gentle reminders to follow the breath and the bodies’ natural flow and the truth of a healing path. In her class, you will find words of encouragement and you will notice her true passion for moving beyond entanglement, obstacles and for finding that delicate balance between effort and effortlessness by listening deeply to one's overarching truth. Delphine’s Yoga isn’t about pushing or striving, it is an experience that encourages the process of empowering individuals by increasing self-awareness and learning how to work within one’s own strengths and limitations. Ashley Sharp
Ashley is known for her wit, practicality, and tenderness as an instructor. She has been teaching yoga and meditation for 20 years while continuing to study with various teachers such as Swami Dayananda, Erich Schiffmann, Patricia Sullivan and Sat Santokh Sing in the United States and in India.  Also trained in yoga therapy and yoga nidra (a reclining meditation practice), her classes and trainings integrate many yogic techniques and modalities.

Ashley's ongoing practice of Vipassana meditation leads naturally to her unique weaving of mindfulness and dharma (wisdom) themes into each yoga class, simultaneously deepening her students' physical and spiritual practice.  In addition to completing the "Dedicated Practioner Program," and the "Community Dharma Leader" trainings (both are 2 year invitational trainings through Spirit Rock Meditation Center), she continues to attend silent meditation retreats.
