Mushroom Habitats Walk

Saturday, November 11, 2023
from 1:00PM to 3:00PM

While we wait patiently for rain... let's learn where our magnificent mushrooms like to live! Take a guided tour with Naturalist and Mycologist, Mario Abreu to learn where you might find mushrooms once the winter rains prompt them to spring from the earth. This walk will explore common mushroom habitats with focus on the associated trees. Mario will also cover how mushrooms benefit from trees, tree identification basics, which mushroom species are associated with certain trees, and more.

  • Reservations are required. This walk is limited to 14 participants.
  • Please read and follow our local Health Order. If you are sick, please stay home.

Class size is limited! Registration for this walk can be made in advance online or in the Gardens' gift shop. Please note, all registration fees are non-refundable unless the walk has been canceled or rescheduled by the Gardens.
