Dedicated to the Future of the Gardens

The Board of the Mendocino Coast Botanical Gardens brings together professional expertise, lived experience, and genuine passion. Many members began as volunteers—tending gardens, supporting programs, and learning the hands-on work—before stepping forward to serve on the Board. Their dedication combines knowledge with a deep understanding of what it takes to care for the Gardens today and plan for tomorrow. Reflecting the diversity of the Gardens themselves, they are educators, gardeners, strategists, and advocates, united by a shared belief that this coastal sanctuary should inspire, educate, and flourish for generations.

The Board of Directors meets on the second Wednesday of each month at 4:00 PM in the MCBG Farmhouse and via Zoom.

Liz O'Hara

Liz O’Hara brings a background in public health microbiology and biotechnology leadership, along with years of dedicated volunteer and board service, to her role as Board President of the Gardens.
