Dedicated to the Future of the Gardens

The Board of the Mendocino Coast Botanical Gardens brings together professional expertise, lived experience, and genuine passion. Many members began as volunteers—tending gardens, supporting programs, and learning the hands-on work—before stepping forward to serve on the Board. Their dedication combines knowledge with a deep understanding of what it takes to care for the Gardens today and plan for tomorrow. Reflecting the diversity of the Gardens themselves, they are educators, gardeners, strategists, and advocates, united by a shared belief that this coastal sanctuary should inspire, educate, and flourish for generations.

The Board of Directors meets on the second Wednesday of each month at 4:00 PM in the MCBG Farmhouse and via Zoom.

Liz O'Hara

Board President

Liz O’Hara brings a background in public health microbiology and biotechnology leadership, along with years of dedicated volunteer and board service, to her role as Board President of the Gardens.

Lisa brings more than thirty years of human resources leadership and consulting experience to her role on the Board of the Gardens, where she chairs the Human Resources Committee and supports key organizational initiatives.

Jean Mann

Board Member

Jean Mann brings decades of experience in education and special services, along with a deep commitment to volunteerism and community care, to her service on the Board of the Gardens.

Howard Pollack

Board Member

Howard Pollack brings years of board leadership and committee service, along with a background as a psychotherapist and dedicated garden volunteer, to his role on the Board of the Gardens.

Kylie Felicich

Mendocino Coast Recreation & Park District Representative

This board member serves on the MCBG Board, helping strengthen collaboration, communication, and shared stewardship of the Gardens property and mission.

Tim Gage

Treasurer

Tim Gage brings decades of experience in budgeting and finance, as well as strong board experience and a passion for gardening, to his position on the Board of the Gardens.

Kristine McKee

Board Member

Kristine McKee brings nearly three decades of experience in accounting, tax, and business advisory services to her role on the Board of the Gardens, supporting strategic planning and financial stewardship.

Keith Stiver brings decades of leadership in public safety, strategic management, and education, along with a lifelong passion for gardening and community service, to his role as a Board Member at the Gardens.
