Lisa has served on the board of directors since August 2023.  She chairs the Human Resources Committee and is a member of the Education Committee.  Lisa has contributed to major initiatives such as salary planning, employee engagement survey, and retirement plan research and implementation.

​​Lisa has over thirty years of experience as an HR practitioner and leader, working with small businesses to make HR "manageable" by providing practical solutions to everyday and complex people challenges.  In addition to her extensive start-up experience, Lisa has built two successful HR consulting practices.  Lisa has a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial and Organizational Psychology from San Jose State University and resides on the Mendocino Coast, where her passion for small business and entrepreneurship is well known throughout the county.

Lisa has always been drawn to the natural beauty of the Mendocino Coast, and being a part of the Gardens is a perfect blend of her love of the outdoors and her interest in helping non-profits thrive.  

​

Although it is almost impossible to pick a favorite place in the Gardens, Lisa fell in love with the dahlias on her first visit to the Gardens.  She remains in awe of the Gardens' beauty and the work of the staff and volunteers to maintain this precious resource.

Lisa and her husband were married on the coast in 2000 and made it their full-time home in 2016.
