Our Team & Contact Info

The Dream Team

The board, staff, and volunteers of the Mendocino Coast Botanical Gardens steward this 47-acre natural wonder with passion, expertise, and heart. The Board provides strategic vision and thoughtful governance, guiding long-term planning, stewarding the mission, and ensuring strong financial foundations that allow the Gardens to grow, innovate, and thrive. The Staff bring deep botanical knowledge, operational expertise, and warm hospitality to the daily care of the living collections, creating inspiring visitor experiences and keeping everything running smoothly. Volunteers contribute their energy and generosity, elevating every aspect of the Gardens, from caring for plants and welcoming guests to supporting events, assisting with educational programs, and serving as community ambassadors.

Together, this team cultivates wonder, stewardship, education, connection, and joy. Their collective impact is evident in every blooming meadow, every smiling visitor, and every seed of inspiration planted along the Mendocino Coast.

Our Mission

Mendocino Coast Botanical Gardens' mission is to engage and enrich lives by displaying and conserving plants in harmony with our Northern California coastal ecosystems and to preserve public access to the coast.

Our Vision

  • To be a treasured resource that inspires joy and learning through our exquisite gardens and important collections, restored natural environment, and unique cultural history.
