The 33rd annual Art in the Gardens at Mendocino Coast Botanical Gardens will take place on Saturday, August 1, and Sunday, August 2. Join us in a celebration of creative expression, gorgeous gardens, and culinary delights. The event will include more than 50 artists, dramatic summertime blooms, as well as live entertainment and musical performances. Food, craft brews, wine, and wine tasting will be available for purchase on the Event Lawn. This is a fun event for all and a major fundraiser for our non-profit botanical garden!

Mendocino Coast Botanical Gardens invites artists to submit an application to exhibit their original work at the 33rd annual Art in the Gardens, a juried art show and summer festival. The two-day event will take place on Saturday, August 1 and Sunday, August 2 from 11:00am to 5:00pm.

This event is a major fundraiser for the Gardens and attracts as many as 2,500 guests each year. Artist booths will be located on our Event Lawn just a short walk from the Ocean Bluffs. Don’t miss this ideal opportunity to meet new clientele! To be considered in the jury process, please complete the 2026 Artist Application by Sunday, March 15.

Details

There is a non-refundable application fee of $30 (no booth fee).
A jury will select 50 participating artists and notify all applicants in April.
All artists must commit to setting up and participating in both days of the event.
Participating artist will be required to turn in a 25% commission to the Gardens at the end of the event (5:00PM; 8/2/26).
The Event Lawn has WiFi and limited cellular service. Artists must be prepared to handle sales offline as a backup. The Gardens cannot handle transactions for artists.

Artists are typically allotted a 10 ft x10 ft area, we do our best to accommodate larger set-ups when possible, but it is not guaranteed.

While we do our best to consider your requests, space is limited and we are not always able to give everyone their first choice of placement.

Mendocino Coast Botanical Gardens is a 501(c)3 non-profit botanical garden, our mission is to engage and enrich lives by displaying and conserving plants in harmony with our Northern California coastal ecosystems and to preserve public access to the coast.

YES, I understand that all artists/vendors are responsible for handling their own sales including sales tax. The Gardens will not be handling any artist/vendor transactions.

Coast Botanical Gardens and its representatives from all liability due to injury, both personal and property, and of damages suffered before, during or after the event, as a result of display of my work, equipment, and materials. I understand there are no refunds or rain checks due to inclement weather.
