100 Women Strong

Thursday, October 22

Doors open at 5:30 PM — Program begins at 6:00 PM

Eagles Hall, Fort Bragg

We are thrilled to be one of three local nonprofits nominated for 100 Women Strong Mendocino Coast on October 22, and we would love to have our MCBG community behind us.

We are honored to share this opportunity with two wonderful local organizations, Friends of Fort Bragg Library and Mendocino Coast Children’s Fund. Here is how you can join the momentum:

 COME TO THE EVENT

Join us at Eagles Hall in Fort Bragg on Thursday, October 22. Doors open at 5:30 PM for wine and snacks, with the program beginning at 6:00 PM. Attendance is free, and everyone is welcome. Know someone who loves the Gardens or believes in supporting local nonprofits? Invite them to attend and learn more about the work happening right here on the Mendocino Coast.

DONATE

Your $100 makes you a voting member for this giving cycle. 100% of the money raised goes directly to local nonprofits, with no administrative fees. Donate today!

CAST YOUR VOTE

The three nominated nonprofits will each give a short presentation about their work and impact. After hearing from all three, voting members cast their vote. The nonprofit receiving the most votes can receive up to $10,000 in unrestricted funding.

This is a wonderful opportunity to do more than support the Gardens… you can help make the case for why our work matters to this community. We hope you will come cheer us on!

Attendance at the event is free, and everyone is welcome. A $100 donation makes you a voting member for this giving cycle.

About the Organization

100 Women Strong is a global movement of collective impact giving, with more than 350 groups worldwide. Here on the Mendocino Coast, this grassroots initiative brings women together to support local nonprofits through collective giving.

100 Women Strong is:

  • An opportunity to build a local, giving circle that pools funds and energy to support our local organizations.

  • A model that gathers 100+ community members, asking each person (or group of people) to donate $100. The money is pooled and donated to a nominated nonprofit, selected by the contributing members during a celebratory gathering.

  • A global movement that utilizes local networks to support the organizations that power our communities. The movement is volunteer-led and 100% of the profits go to the selected organization for their area of identified need.
