The only public garden in the continental US that sits directly on the Pacific Ocean. A place of peace and beauty.
"On this day of your life, dear friend, life offers you an amazing opportunity in every single moment to see and experience Who You Really Are.
Watch yourself this day. Just watch yourself. Look at what you are doing moment to moment...and why. Ask yourself in the midst of it, "What does this have to do with my real reason for being here? Is this what I have come all the way to the Earth to experience?"
If the answer is a resounding Yes, keep doing it. If the answer is No, ask yourself, "What in the world am I doing?" Look at the words and consider them literally. What-in-the-world-am-I-doing? What am I involved in every day, and what does this have to do with my soul? It's just a question...just a question..."
Our mission is to conserve plants suited to the climate of the Mendocino Coast and display them for the enjoyment and education of our guests.
The Mendocino Coast Botanical Garden offers everything from colorful displays to thunderous waves. The mild maritime climate makes it a garden for all seasons, attracting gardeners and nature lovers. With manicured formal gardens, a dense coastal pine forest, native flora and habitats, fern-covered canyons, camellias, rhododendrons, magnolias and conifers, and flower-filled coastal bluffs overlooking the blue ocean, the garden is a jewel on the Pacific Coast.

"Life is either a grand adventure or it's nothing. In the end it's no safer to be fearful and careful and avoid danger than to embrace life." Helen Keller
