Festival of Lights 2022

Each winter the Mendocino Coast Botanical Gardens transforms into a spectacular show of glittering color. The 12th annual Festival of Lights will run rain or shine each Friday, Saturday, and Sunday evening from November 25 through December 18. We can't wait to share more festive cheer and inventive light displays with you! 

MCBG staff and volunteers have already begun prepping for the event… countless hours spent stringing thousands of twinkling lights. This year there will be no tented area, but our gift shop will be open and there will be hot cocoa, apple cider, and sweets available at the FOG Holiday Cafe (cash only). 

Bundle up and enjoy the imaginative displays created by our staff and volunteers during this year's Festival of Lights!

TICKETS

Advanced tickets are strongly recommended and may be purchased online or at our gift shop. Tickets are limited, some nights do sell out!

Please note, all tickets are non-refundable but dates/times can be changed based on availability. Special event tickets must be purchased by all guests, members of the Gardens, and AHS Reciprocal Admissions Program Members. Memberships and general admission guest passes are not valid for entry to Festival of Lights. All proceeds from this fundraiser event help to support this community event and the Mendocino Coast Botanical Gardens.

THE DETAILS

• Tickets are $10 each, kids age 16 and under attend for FREE! The event will run rain or shine. Tickets can be changed, but are non-refundable. All proceeds from this fundraiser event help to support this community event and the Mendocino Coast Botanical Gardens.
• Dogs are not allowed at the Festival of Lights.
• Electric mobility scooters will not be available for rent during this event. Wheelchairs are available for guests with mobility issues.
• We ask that all visitors consider wearing a face mask in our indoor areas and when interacting with our staff. Please read and follow our local Health Order. If you are sick, please stay home.
• Please carpool! Parking is very limited and there will be no shuttle this year.

EVENT GUIDELINES

Dress for winter weather, the event will run rain or shine, but may be canceled due to unsafe extreme wind. Parking is free, but limited, please plan to carpool. Electric mobility scooters will not be available for rent during this event. Wheelchairs are available for guests with mobility issues. Dogs are not allowed at the Festival of Lights. Mendocino Coast Botanical Gardens is well-known for its pet-friendly nature. However, during this special event, we ask that you please keep your pets (service animals excluded) at home or arrange for doggy daycare. No outside food or beverages. No smoking anywhere in the Gardens. Please stay on the lighted pathways. Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times. 

Special event photography: Festival of Lights is an event where photography, audio, and video recording may occur. By entering the event, you consent to be photographed, filmed and/or otherwise recorded. Your entry constitutes your consent to such photography, filming and/or recording and to any use in promotion of Festival of Lights and the Mendocino Coast Botanical Gardens (MCBG).
