Mendocino Coast Botanical Gardens is one of only a handful of public gardens that front an ocean shore. The Gardens is highly photogenic and offers world-recognized collections and a diversity of flora all year long. The mild maritime climate of the Mendocino Coast offers ideal growing conditions for rhododendrons, heaths and heathers, dahlias, heritage roses, succulents, conifers, and so much more. The Gardens is the number one attraction in visitation on the Mendocino Coast, with more than 70,000 visitors each year. Mendocino Coast Botanical Gardens ranks among the best botanical gardens in North America and was just voted the fifth “Best Botanical Garden” in the Nation by USA Today. Only 20 of the nation’s best botanical gardens were nominated (see all 10Best Botanical Gardens).
