Monthly Groups & Special Opportunities
Mendocino Coast Botanical Garden has volunteer opportunities to meet up with weekly groups or explore for an opportunity that meets your interests.
Several volunteer groups are active on the grounds throughout the year. Groups operate on a drop-in basis and you're always welcome to join us!

For a complete list of volunteer opportunities, see the PDF at the bottom of this page.
Education - The Gardens is expanding the existing education programs to include grade school science curriculum, professional speakers, adult education, and additional garden-oriented workshops. As programs develop, the need for volunteer participation increases. Our current needs include: docents, instructors, and speakers.
New Projects - We have many varied projects in the works: creating and updating postal and email lists, mapping the gardens, keeping plant records, building a retail nursery sales staff, restoring the farmhouse, fencing the east end of the Gardens, and extending the existing power lines.
Ongoing Projects & Special Events - We always need docents, cashiers, library helpers, data entry support, newsletter helpers, brochure and poster distribution helpers, and support with our special fundraising event, Art in the Gardens.
