"Victory Garden" Classes

The Mendocino Coast Master Gardeners invite the public to learn how to grow food on and near the coast. The class is being held Saturday, March 26 from 1-4 P.M.

Plant your own “Victory Garden” and grow nutritious, affordable food on the coast.  On March 26, the Coast Master Gardeners will present an introductory class for food gardening in our coastal environment.  Topics include: seeds and seedlings, adding warmth and protection, companion and succession planting with locally successful varieties, tool maintenance and sharpening, managing pests and weeds to ensure a bountiful harvest.  The class will be geared to beginning food gardeners and those new to our coastal climate.  Register at the MCBG Gift Shop or call 707 964-4352 X 16.  (Garden members $5; non-members $10; no charge to Master Gardeners)
