Mendocino Coast Botanical Gardens Welcomes Our New Executive Director
Mendocino Coast Botanical Gardens proudly announces the appointment of Mary Anne Payne as our Executive Director.
Mary Anne has served as Interim Director since May and before that volunteered as a consultant to our Board of Directors. Mary Anne has a background in management and fundraising in public research universities and not-for-profits. Rancho Navarro has been her home since 2010.
Ms. Payne takes the helm at the Gardens during their 50th Anniversary year. Over 60,000 people visit the forty-seven acres of the Gardens each year. “We are very proud to be a major attraction for the North Coast and an important venue for the community” said Payne. “We are excited about offering the 2nd annual Festival of Lights this December and believe it will be a celebration for the entire community and an economic draw for the region. I am very happy to be at the Gardens.”
The Board of Directors is working with the Executive Director to map out a future that will ensure success for the next half century.
