Maria Muldaur & Her Red Hot Bluesiana Band

Tickets: Platinum Club - $75, General Admission $35, Lawn Seating $20

Maria Muldaur’s first recording was “I’m A Woman” with the Jim Kewskin Jug Band in the 60’s. She has owned that song – and many more – ever since, including ”Midnight At The Oasis”, “Don’t You Feel My Leg”, "It Ain’t The Meat, It’s The Motion” and dozens more Bluesiana numbers a lot of us know and love. Her live shows are pure fun and this year Maria kicks off “Live! at the Gardens” with a Saturday afternoon show at Mendocino Botanical Gardens.   So you can listen, dance or sing along with all of the true originals.
Maria is excited to announce that her latest endeavor, STEADY LOVE, is completed and ready for her tour.  She returned to her much beloved New Orleans to record with her favorite Crescent City musicians. This collaboration has resulted in a high energy album of Blues & "Swamp Funk".
In Maria’s words “It was really inspiring working with such an absolutely stellar group of "A-Team" players, who all played with soul & grit, and reckless abandon!! STEADY LOVE is a wonderful collection of Funky, Bluesy/Gospel-y tunes, all with really uplifting, positive messages. I will be touring the entire country with my Red Hot Bluesiana Band to promote its release, finishing up in New Orleans, where this all began!”

Sunday, September 4th - gates open at 2pm
Roy Rogers and the Delta Rhythm Kings

Tickets: Platinum Club - $75, General Admission $35, Lawn Seating $20

Press Quotes.....
"Rogers is both a sensational and a sensitive blues guitarist - certainly among the finest slide guitarists playing today. His wailing slide guitar sound (and churning rhythms, when needed) mark him and his work as of the highest caliber."  - San Francisco Chronicle
"Rogers is an exceptionally articulate slide guitarist, either he's scorching Robert Johnson's 'Ramblin' Blues' or taking a lovely, lyrical journey...or rockin' it out. One of the rare guitar heroes who values feeling over flash."  - Rolling Stone
"Many guitarists dabble in slide guitar, but the number of modern masters can probably be counted on one hand - Roy Rogers is surely one of them..."  - Guitar Player
"Pundits who bemoan the scarcity of guitar gods haven't laid ears on Roy Rogers, whose slide riffs could peel a crawfish."  - USA Today

Roy Rogers – Slide Guitar & vocals
Roy Rogers has been widely recognized as one of the world's finest practitioners and innovators of modern slide guitar.   His current releases include:'Split Decision' (2009) ; 'Translucent Blues' with Ray Manzarek of The Doors (out May 24th, 2011) ; and a rare classic vinyl release of 'Slidewinder' featuring duets with New Orleans great Allen Toussaint and a sweet acoustic duet with John Lee Hooker out June 24th, 2011 - all on Blind Pig Records.
Rogers has been nominated for 8 Grammys as producer, songwriter and performer.  An exciting live performer, he has performed with Carlos Santana, Bonnie Raitt, Steve Miller, Linda Ronstadt, Sammy Hagar and many others.  Rogers has appeared at the world's most prestigious festivals including Montreux, North Sea, New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Featival - and festivals in Norway, Australia, France & Italy.  He has been covered by major media including NPR's Morning Edition, Rolling Stone, USA Today, Billboard & Guitar Player.

He moved to the San Francisco Bay Area in the early 1970's and has lived there ever since. Besides John Lee Hooker and Roy, Steve's other credits include performing with the Gospel Hummingbirds, Coco Montoya, Angela Strehli, and Mighty Mike Schermer.
