Special Series: Master Gardeners' Spring Workshops - "An Eye on Design"
Saturdays - 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. - Meeting Room

Are you ready to get your spring garden growing? These classes will help you on your way to success. Classes $10 each, or register for all three in the series for $25; half price for members (February classes are $10 each, half price for members). Workshops begin in the Meeting Room but may move outdoors. Class size may be limited, call 707-964-4352 ext 16 to reserve your space. Board of Directors: Election Ballot Deadline
Monday, April 7- 5 pm

See the ballot insert for this year's Board of Director's candidates and information on voting. Ballots must be received by 5 pm on Monday, April 7, 2008. All ballots are also entered into a drawing for a $50 gift certificate to the Gardens Store and Nursery.

Wildflower Photography Workshop
Saturday, April 19 - 9 am to 4:30 pm - Meeting Room

Capture the magic of wildflowers with Reny Parker, wildflower photographer and author of Wildflowers of Northern California's Wine Country & North Coast Ranges. This day-long workshop will demonstrate common (but easily forgotten) and new tips to transform your wildflower portraits into real beauties. Fee $65. 31st Annual John Druecker: Memorial Rhododendron Show & Plant Sale
Saturday, May 3, 1:30 pm to 5 pm and Sunday, May 4, 10 am to 4 pm

Entries to the juried show will be accepted at Dana Gray Elementary School, 1197 Chestnut St., FB, on May 3, 7-10 am Admission and refreshments are free; activities include educational displays, silent auction, hourly raffle and local nursery vendors. The Noyo Chapter of the American Rhododendron Society will be introducing Rhododendron 'Mendocino Gold,' a recently registered plant hybridized by the late Dr. Len Charvet. 'Mendocino Gold' is described as a regionally hardy, yellow-hued hybrid. Information: 707-964-4435.

Friends of the Gardens: Potluck & Centerpiece Auction
Tuesday, June 3 - Beginning at 4 pm - Vegetable Garden

Friends of the Gardens: Lavender Craft Workshops
Saturday, June 28 - 10 am to 4 pm - Farmhouse Lawn

New! Health & Wellness Program
Join us at the Gardens for Yoga, Tai Chi, and Power Walking on weekday mornings from 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. beginning in May and running through October. For more information, contact Kristan Larsen at 707-964-4352 ext. 10. Yoga and Tai Chi classes are $7/members, $10/nonmembers (includes admission); Power Walking is free with admission.

Weekly Staff-Led Tours
Join staff gardeners every Monday for an informative walk through the Gardens! Topics include natural history of the gardens, plants of interest, and birds in the garden. Walks begin at the Gardens Store. (No walks on occasional 5th Mondays.)

Birdwatching with the Audubon Society
Over 100 species of birds live in or visit the Gardens each year. Join the experts and learn more about our avian friends. Walks start at the Gardens Entrance. Tour is included in the Gardens admission. For more information call 707.962.9413 or 707.964.6362.

Friends of the Mendocino Coast Botanical Gardens (FOG)
Meetings are held almost every first Tuesday at 4 pm, except July, (No meetings will be held in December and January.) in the Gardens' Meeting Room.
